Creative Transformations
Creative Transformations are designed to engage children’s imagination while offering a way to help them understand God’s Word with a simple metaphor. God takes ordinary people (like Moses and David and Peter, and every child) and transforms them into extra-ordinary people. This activity encourages children to take an ordinary image and make it extra-ordinary with the unique imagination God gave them!
Creative Transformations can be used in a variety of settings and age-groups. Any child (or adult!) who appreciates artistic expressions will enjoy activating their imagination while playing with these simple images. Teachers can easily add to the resource by creating their own squiggles, shapes, and simple images for others to transform!
Consider using Creative Transformations in:
church bulletins or activities for children where children's church is not available,
art class,
at home with bored kids,
Sunday School to adorn the classroom walls
(i.e. next to a poster display of 2 Corinthians 5:17),road trips,
